Marinvest’s home since 1989, Viktor Rydbergsgatan 10 has been subject to a serious facelift and modernization during 2011.
Marinvest occupies the main second floor and use the first floor left premises for conference facilities and canteen.
First floor right is up for lease from 1 jan 2012.
Third floor is occupied by Avantus (www.avantus.se).
Originally built in 1916 as Villa Olsson, a private home for a member of the Gothenburg bourgeoisie, the house was eventually bought by Elof Hansson, founder of the famous Gothenburg trading house.
In the 1950’s, the house became the town house for the Bryntesson family of Svanskog, and office for their Swanboard Masonite sales. Bryntesson’s fortune was founded by John B, one of “Three Lucky Swedes” discovering gold in 1898 at Anvil Creek, Nome, Alaska (www.svanskog.org/goldking.htm).
Descendants of Bryntesson still own the building at Vikor Rydbergsgatan 10.
